We have all seen the new housing complexes popping up around the city. With new neighbors moving in, we need to plan in order to prevent strain on our infrastructure, design to keep traffic flowing, and preserve our treasured community spaces. Proactively managing our growth will boost affordability in our area, increase investments in local businesses, and allow us to stay focused on preserving our community character.

Prioritizing a design that is welcoming and safe for all ages and abilities will strengthen our community for generations. Our streets and public spaces will be safer for all of our neighbors when we have better crosswalks and bike lanes, more walkability and better access to our network of local businesses.

Our city needs to take decisive action in the face of a changing climate, to protect ourselves and our wonderful coastline. I will assess each decision based on a climate framework.
